Sen. Lott Punts the "Trust Me" Rationale

Showing the good sense to agree with me, Sen. Trent Lott today dismissed Pres. Bush's "trust me" advise on stealth candidate Miers.

In today's WSJ, Lott was quoted: "I don't just automatically salute or take a deep bow anytime a nominee is sent up," Sen. Lott told MSNBC. "I have to find out who these people are, and right now, I'm not satisfied with what I know."
